Available Position

Co-Educator: Ages 5-7

Apogee New Jersey is seeking a Support Educator to work with children ages 5–7 in a Montessori and Reggio Emilia–inspired setting. You’ll support the Lead Educator in guiding small groups through early literacy, hands-on exploration, and purposeful routines that foster independence and curiosity.

Your primary role will focus on building reading skills through phonics, guided reading, and storytelling. You’ll also assist with morning invitations, learning stations, and project-based activities that support academic and social-emotional growth.

Key Expectations & Commitments

What You'll Do:

Work Monday–Friday from 11:30 AM to 3:45 PM as part of a collaborative team
Support small group reading, literacy, and phonics instruction
Assist with hands-on projects, learning stations, and afternoon transitions
Help maintain a calm, organized, and curiosity-driven environment
Model patience, integrity, and clear communication with children and families
Provide consistent support during dismissal and end-of-day routines

Who You Are:

A purpose-driven educator who sees teaching as both craft and calling
Experienced working with ages 5–7 in a classroom, Montessori, or Reggio Emilia-inspired setting
Skilled at supporting early reading, phonics, and small-group literacy development
Confident helping lead hands-on projects and maintaining a structured, nurturing environment
Calm, dependable, and present—especially during transitions and end-of-day routines
A steady presence who partners with families and models leadership by example
Believes true growth is reflected in action, not just assessments
